Holly ferns

ltecato(9)June 6, 2010

Hi. I'm wondering how many of my fellow California gardeners have ventured to install holly ferns (Cyrtomium) in their landscapes. Any success? Thanks!

Cyrtomium falcatum is VERY happy in Coastal California, especially So. Cal.

By the way, I'm pretty sure that Dana Point is a clear USDA Zone 10 (not 9) and you're in Sunset WGB Zone 24, our mildest zone.

I have two, both in shade. They get quite large and look lovely. I don't know why they are not used more often.
