Nepenthes pitcher plant

Hi, just bought my first pitcher plant and the pitchers are dry, do I gave to put water in them or will the plant do it?

You an add about a half an inch or DISTILLED water or rain water.

"water" in Nepenthes is not really water. It is a secretion from the plant. I find that most Nepenthes will not secret again if the pitcher is dry out (in that same pitcher)... But if you want to put water in for the look then any type of water will be fine but your plant have no benefit from it
