bud on my camilla in July

tropical_thought(San Francisco)July 2, 2010

I noticed this freak bud yesterday, does anyone else still have any flowers or buds on their camillas? I think it has something to do with the weather being not warm enough this spring. The plant is Nuccio's Pearl, and its a dwarf pink Camilla. It's the first plant to start blooming in the winter and the last to stop and it has more blooms then the rhododendrons.

Here is a link that might be useful: Photos of bud on camilla

What a nice plant, to bloom for such an extended period for you.
