I have three treefrogs living in my pitcher plant.

Will they breed? Don't the digestive juices pose any problems with the frogs? Apparently not, they have been there for two weeks.

I think it's pretty cool.

i've read about frogs renting pitcher plants' pitchers for a reason; to catch insects for themselves. frogs have also been found in Heliamphora's pitchers as well. i also read that pitcher plants don't end up losing either. usually after frogs eat the insects, they usually allow their droppings to fall onto the pitcher plant's pitchers, this way , they also get 'some' nutrients from the insects body fluids.. errr so i've read. but it does make sense why frogs usually poop inside the pitchers. what a cycle huh?

The frogs should be happy there. I have no idea what it would do to eggs if they laid eggs in there, I would remove them and try to raise them myself if possible, just in case. I have heard of tadpoles morphying out in the pitchers, though.

won't the tadpoles become digested by the fluids inside the pitchers?
