Finally Monarch Cats!!!

imabirdnutOctober 19, 2012

I didn't raise any cats this spring & I have only seen a few queen cats on my milkweeds until this week. I found a dozen late instar monarch cats & have brought them all in to protect!

It's about time!!!

Congrats, Lila - they're adorable! They grow like weeds, so yours will be pupating before you know it.

I had found a monarch chrysalis on the Ellen's Blue butterfly bush before my trip, so I checked it out yesterday. This morning, it had turned dark -

And I just found this -

So - they can do it without us! :)
