Need info for replanting small cacti

robarJune 20, 2014

I have a small cacti that needs replanted into a bigger pot. Any tips? I was going to purchase a bag of cactus soil at Wal Mart.

The new pot should be no larger than the plant's root ball by 1-2 inches, and you should pick up some perlite along with the cactus soil. Mix at a 50/50 ratio and then add the plant. Make sure the new pot has drain holes. Don't water for a few days. When you do water, water thoroughly until water comes out the drain holes, then don't water again until the soil dries.
