Strangest Asclepiad I ever saw!

Stush2049(Pitts., Pa. 6)June 20, 2014

It's name is Orbea schweinfurthii, Some times confused as Stapelia schweinfurthii. It is a hard big stem. Given to me by 'denniso' with some nice other plants. It is larger and harder than any other Orbea I own. I planted it with one sprout at the base. Now I have a new sprout and it's just starting to grow, so it means it has roots. I hope it blooms this year. Any body know about this one??? Picture of a large one.

Stush, You've always had a way with plants, I guess you call that a green thumb. Good job, looks healthy too.

I don't know anything about your Orbea. Just wanted to say it looks very interesting.
And I also noticed your id tag, looks like those key tags you can insert piece of paper with a name on - am I right?

It is just a plain plastic strip with a lable from a lable maker. Dennis gave it to me with the plant. Strange that it is larger and harder than my other Asclepiads. Almost like deer horns. First for me. And I really like it.
Was said to smell like oranges and it has a beauitful orange flower.
