Nepenthes Growth problem

mcgyvr2009i(Schenectady, NY 5b)September 26, 2012

I have a Nepenthes plant. I have had it for almost a month. I have noticed some of the pitchers are drying up. It's got to be in the right spot, I have it hanging in front of a window so that it gets the last half hour of direct sunlight, the rest is indirect. It's growing fast but new pitchers wont expand. I have been watching a specific pitcher that is about a quarter inch wide by 1 inch tall and it's green so therefore it's premature. It hasn't expanded at all. Does that sound weird to you? It's growing as if it's healthy but the new pitchers aren't expanding? Am I doing something wrong? I DO make sure I water it at least once a week. Thanks for the help.

Keep the soil ALWAYS moist. Sometimes pitchers don't grow or are real slow at it. If you water once a week it may not be enough. They like their soil CONSTANTLY moist. Not soggy but always wet.
