fly infestation!

I just built a raised garden bed and attached a pvc hoop house with a plastic sheet for a greenhouse effect. After filling it with compost and soil I have noticed dozens of flies have infiltrated. Can anyone give me help on getting rid of them? Thanks!

If you used manure in your soil mix, you may have brought fly maggots into your hoop house. In an enclosed space of your hoop house you should be able to spray them. They probably won't all hatch at once, so one spray won't do it. Al

Or you could ignore them as they are only nuisance value.

Fly strips. They are icky, but they work.
