San Diego Red Bougainvillea in container

careercounselor(z9 CA)October 21, 2010

Greetings Fellow Gardeners:

I have a beautiful San Diego Red Bougainvillea in a container on my balcony here in Silicon Valley and I need something at the base -- I know it isn't the best season for adding color but would love suggestions nevertheless.

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Connie

Bougainvilleas don't like disturbance of their roots. I suggest a 2nd pot. You could use star jasmine which could trail over the base of your bougainvillea.
