This cactus has had this condition for more than four hours.
Laura, she looks like she'll be fine, heres one I'm really concerned about, shes been breaking out really bad since yesterday ;)
I think they'll both be fine as long as they get plenty of sun shine and a dap of water.
Have a wonderful day yourself,
That echinopsis will open within two days. Don't blink or you will miss it. It closes by like 10 am here.
Laura, as stated by Sundewd, you'll have to go outside about 11PM to see it in all of its glory and marvel at the wonderful fragrance!
Very funny :) I hope it got relief without having to make an embarrassing doctor's visit. Lol
Laura, I have the same cactus. It bloomed in the daytime, not at night, just for one day.
This was mine.
Gorgeous.. I have night vision goggles!! ( kidding).
I do nightly inspections with flashlight...
Laura, I saw the darn thing starting to open at 11:30 pm last night. I was hoping I wasn't going to miss it!
Chris, your flower is fabulous!
Those who wait patiently, and who search at night.. ( lol ) . See the beauty that we as humans wait for...
Beautiful, Laura!!!! What a gorgeous bloom!! I know you are so excited to see this treasure! We work so hard to finally see the " just rewards". It is worth every minute to see natures beauty!
Congratulations on a job well done!!
Tyvm Laura! Couldn't have said it better.
Those of us who grow C&S are patient people. Our plants are generally slower growing, not as easy to flower and can be a challenge to keep thriving. I guess we like a good challenge!
These are beautiful! Years ago I acquired a pot full
from an elderly neighbor. I thought they were at death's
door. But after a few good soakings we were pleasantly
surprised. The first blooms were white, but in the years
since the color has changed. I'm not complaining.
This year we are getting repeated blooms.
So neat that the color changed so dramatically! Love the pink on Karen's and Greg's too. Love love love the summertime!!
What beauties and so prolific. Envious.
