Some ID needed for IKEA succulents

DavidL.caJuly 29, 2014

Went to IKEA today and as usual checked out their sometimes-great succulent collections. And found these two that look interesting but unsure what they are

This one is a green cactus looking succulent with some purple tint

It even has some flowers coming I think

And this one I think it's a Kalanchoe but I've never seen it before. It has fuzzy leaves and the back of the leaves have some lumps

Also went to local nursery yesterday and have these two for IDs:

Very interesting pink succulent. Is it an Aloe?

I also found this Lithops that has a blue-grey colour and couldn't find the ID for it. Anyone can help on this?

Thanks in advance!

I have a red version of your pink I'm at work so I'm not definant on the name but I believe it's an agave

Yes, you have a bud on the first (flower is coming), which will help ID it. Most likely Stapelia gigantea, but could be another Stapelia. Please post again when it blooms.

Second is Kalanchoe 'Fang' (bumps on bottom).

Third is a type of Cryptanthus, common name Earth Star.

I don't have time to get into the Lithops. Those are sometimes tricky to ID.

Trying to get my plants in the ground (PIG) before time flies, so have to run!

Cool, thanks!
I didn't buy these yet, but now I know that it's a Stapelia I think I'm gonna go back and get it! Always wanted one of these "starfish cactus"
Thanks for the IDs, Cryptanthus is that a succulent or tropical?

It's bromeliad, since you have name from rosemarie, you can easily google it...
'Fang' could grow large.
I would get that first one too...looks healthy, and ready to bloom.

Okay, I've decided to go back on Thursday to grab it. Hopefully that particular plant will still be there, I hid it quite well in the lower racks... they're not getting any sun there anyway :(
