Help : Orange fruit contamination?

Can oranges' fruit be contaminated with bacteria via the roots and trunk of the tree which is 25 ft from old septic tank?

No there is no chance of bacterial contamination via the roots.

Fruitnut: Thanks for your info. It agrees with a botanic's opinion. I will harvest the oranges from that tree without them touching the soil. Best regards, Jonathan
