Does anyone use trailing Coleus in their planters?

Sure. Excellent all-season color and pinching and rooting quickly makes for more plants for more locations without added cost.
They don't even need rooting hormone, just a deep cup of water.

Dear carolinakate NC 7b,
Rosy Dawn Coleus Nursery is an excellent mail-order nursery, specializing in coleuses. Just type _Rosy Dawn Coleus_ into your Web browser. There will be a clickable tab for trailing coleuses.

Just wondering about Rosy Dawn's shipping costs. Their prices seem reasonable but I'd have to go thru the checkout to get s&h costs tallied up. Any input would be appreciated.

I generally prefer to buy plants locally if at all possible but I am not having any luck in my area (south shore of Long Island) finding trailing coleus. Maybe it is too early for these plants yet. We have had a chilly Spring here so far.

Happy Gardening!
