huge hail storm Sunday

lylesgardens(7)May 12, 2008

WOW....2 inch+ size hail pummeled my house and land and brand new truck!

Some of my hostas got beaten up pretty good. my rose and other things in the west garden fared OK since the treeline shielded some of the hail.

I sat in my tub (with no water of course) eating my dinner waiting for the funnel cloud to drop out of the sky but luckily it didnt here.

I took some wonderful photos, will upload all those tonight when I get home from work.

We had hail friday night- a friend saw it and said a few were golfball size, but most were marble size. I don't think we had any yesterday here in Garner, but we sure did get some storms!

I'm sorry to hear that. I heard near Charlotte they had tennis-ball-sized hail and downeast they had GRAPEFRUIT-SIZED hail!!!!! I would just die if something decimated my garden 2 years in a row. Glad yours is doing well!
