Any help in identifying this one?
Here's a better photo of the body
If anyone wants to trade I have a huge piece that broke off a few years ago. I would want something about the same size.
Anybody know what Gymnocalcium this is?
Here's a photo with a quarter on it to tell size a little better.
What the heck anybody know what this is? Genus at least?
Each winter I take this out and just lay it on cardboard and poor water of it once a month. It's become quite large! Each spring, back outside into this old birdbath. Again not sure what it is? Brain cactus a common name I guess?
I thought it's Easter Lily cactus by the flower, but when I saw the closer pic, hem not so sure.
The last cactus, rebutia probably? I had similar but not that large.
Sorry can't help much.
Btw, are those peanut cactus bloom other than orange? I am looking the one bloom Yellow.
"Btw, are those peanut cactus bloom other than orange?"
No it's orange. Pretty fowers easy to grow for sure.
Cacti pictured a very old some 35 years.
Second to last Mammillaria compressa maybe?
The gymno is gymnocalycium horstii.
could your mam be mammillaria karwinskiana?
Thanks for the tips, I will research those. It bloomed last year, but I don't remember the flower color. Here is another photo.
Wow it could be either. I need to see the flower again. Hopefully it will flower. I have had a hard time making it flower. It has only flowered once. Super hardy though surviving hard frosts and sunburn in the spring.
