great clematis combos

yogagarden(z6b)April 2, 2010

Hello, I'm a lurker from central Virginia and I love this forum. I have a small city lot to garden in and love the fill it up and add some more look! I was enchanted by the yummy clematis combo mentioned: etoile viollette, betty corning and tie die. What are your favorite 2, 3 or more combos?

I was stunned one time when I saw a combo of Hagley Hybrid and Rogue Cardinal.

I also love it when blues and purples are put together.

Etoille Violette and Betty Corning. Tie Dye will go on the right.

Betty Corning and Princess Diana, I shovel pruned Diana for mildew but still like this picture. I like the contrast in form as well as color.

Natascha and Ruutel

Rouge Cardinal, Venosa Violacea and Prince Charles

Arctic Queen and Daniel Deronda

Helios and Barbara Harrington

Beautiful photos and combos. Natascha and Ruutel are very striking together and I have neither, must put them on my wish list.

Hi everyone.

I came upon this thread and was disappointed to see that Buyorsell888's pics are no longer viewable here.

Any chance you are able to post them again Buyorsell888?

Here is an old thread with some clematis combination photos. Unfortunately, most of the varieties are not identified (although Betty Corning is easy to id), but one can still see the combinations.
