Southern Living article/community garden

Lisa C - 7bMay 18, 1999

Just stopping by this forum; thought you might be interested ... I got my copy of Southern Living yesterday (June I think - it's the one w/ hydrangeas on the cover), and there's a very interesting article about a community garden that was started back up in Winsotn-Salem, NC in the Old Salem community. It's on the site of an old Moravian community garden from either the 18th or 19th century. I believe it's called Bethesdebea or something like that. They're using old maps created back then and are only allowed to grow what would have been grown back then in a garden, not row crops (no tomatoes or corn). Check it out if you can!
