Omoshiro

I've got lots of vines and buds but Clematis Omoshiro is the first to bloom for me this year. It was still in deep shade when I took the picture but it looks good to me.

After several years of hunting, I finally got a baby Omoshiro last year. Hopefully, I will get a bloom or two this year...

'Omoshiro' is a slow to establish variety, I've had mine for many years, though last year it finally rewarded me with a bounty of spring blooms. I'm soon to obtain a similar looking, though much more vigorous variety called 'Fond Memories'
