Pinch Sweet Autumn?

kentstar(5b, NE Ohio)April 30, 2010

Do you pinch Sweet Autumn clematis or just prune down low in spring? This is my first Sweet Autumn and I did prune, but don't then if you still have to pinch.

Thanks

Cathy
