Aaargh! I'm totally clueless then. If it isn't an Aloe, I have absolutely no idea what it is. :-( Not some weird kind of Kalanchoe, is it?

Looks sort of like A. brevifolia, but there are so many hybrids out there.

Thanks, guys. How do the two species differ? I don't have a key, or even descriptions, but I looked at images of both, and I can't tell them apart.

Probably Aloe 'nobilis' but could be a really underlit Aloe brevifolia
