vine is rooting next to the trellis.

I find it interesting that a vine has rooted. It was under some leafs instead of climbing the trellis. I have also read about how hard it is to propagate Clematis from cuttings. Why bother with cuttings if all I have to do is pin a vine to the ground?

If I wanted to get real fancy I could use wire to pin them in pots, let them root, cut them loose and be ready to grow.
