silverleaf dogwood and limemound spirea?

jazzy131(eastern canada)August 30, 2004

what do you think of this combination? I have planted them together already, but the spirea are very small this year, so it is hard to tell how they will look until next season. I also plan to add some sedum there as well. Any thoughts? And if this is not a good combo, I would love some suggestions.

Maybe something in the burgundy range as a dark color with your combination. You already have height with the dogwood, but the first plant that comes to mind is prunus cistena (purple leaf sand cherry). That's the color I'm suggesting anyway. I love the limemound spirea. Not familiar with the silverleaf dogwood though.
