Something weird in my soil???? Help

Fern24August 6, 2014

Ok so I was recently replanting one of my succulents after propagating it and when I went to remove it I saw these tiny yellow specks that look kind of like eggs on the top of the soil. I had originally had my soil covered with a few pebbles for decoration so I didn't notice it before now and have no idea how long it's been like that. Can somebody please tell me what this is and how I should fix/remove it.

Crenda SWFL 10A

Several of us have had the same thing. We removed it and changed soil and this eliminated the problem. MG soil seemed to be the common denominator.

See this link and decide if you have the same thing.

This is a fungus, and Crenda has the right solution! I sometimes see this on plants I pick up from the nursery that are in moist soil.
