Is it to late to start cabbage and broccoli transplants in person county about 20 miles north of Durham.

No. It is also a good time to get a soil test done. They are free until November. Contact your extension office for boxes and forms.

I have a row of Roma green beans and three rows of peas which were planted three weeks ago. Radishes, beets, carrots and lettuce were sown four days ago. Cabbage, Chard, Collards and Kale were put out this week, too. Folks, it is just about too hot to do any work in a garden or with your lawn.
