Meyer Lemon: when to repot, and how big?

chicagocanine(zone 5, Chicago)April 8, 2011

I just got a Meyer lemon tree, I ordered it through the mail. It's been here a few days but I am trying to find out how long I should wait before I repot it (it came in a tiny little pot) and how big a pot should I move it to?

Right now it's very tiny, less than 8 inches tall... I read it is bad to put them in a pot that is too big?

6"-8" pot, well draining soil and you should be good to go for at least a year
