why the "y" again ?

Becoz above the Y they will bloom...ΓΆΒΊ
Which can be confusing.. IF you are talking about cuttings or plants that were taken from above the Y they should bloom for you.. Cuttings taken below the Y will need to Y prior to blooming ..

I cut off one branch about a foot below the "Y" and stuck it in a tall glass of water 2 weeks ago. I did trim the Y-branches down to leave about 6 or 7 inches.
This things is forming nubbies like crazy, and it is also showing nice leaves on top. This weekend I will plant it in soil. I hope that it will take off like a gangbuster and bloom early for me, because, well, it already has a "Y" on the top. And the "Y' is the secret, from there it will start producing blooms. Once you have a "Y' forming, go've got it made, so to speak.
