Hi everyone,

I just got Datura wrightii seeds in a trade today in the mail and I was wondering how to grow it. When should I start my seeds?

You can direct sow in the early spring or start them indoors late in the winter. I'd soak the seeds in water overnight prior to planting them.

Thanks, Karyn! Just like starting morning glories or moonflowers then! I look forward to growing them. Are they easy to germinate?

Wrightii is easy to grow and has a much less erratic germination rate then the metels. I do think that most dats do best with direct sowing but you need to have a long enough growing season to do it. I'd try both, start some early inside and direct sow some as well.
