Wilson & Johnston County Friends--OK?

dyhgarden(7b)November 15, 2008

Seeing the news, it would be good if we can hear from our gardening friends in the tornado areas. I realize that power is out and it may be awhile before we hear.

Our thoughts are with everyone.

I'm 12 miles from Kenly and had no damage here but I've worked there for 19 years. I was glued to the TV yesterday morning and not at all surprised to see the outpouring of support for them in the community. I went to high school with these people and they are some of the nicest folks on the planet.

We are just west of 95 in Johnston County and everything is OK here. I happened to be out on my back porch when the tornado went through but nothing here - the storm was awesome to watch and the temps so mild. I had no idea what was happening just miles from me :( - prayers to all involved .....

Shari and Lynne -- glad to hear you are fine. Such terrible loss of life and destruction.
