Duvalia corderoyi Bloom!

Microthrix(9)September 5, 2012

My Duvalia corderoyi finally bloomed, after several weeks of growing its flower. Quite a fuzzy center, as well as the typical stinky smell. :P enjoi!

Super Cool!!! I can't stop staring at it. Looks like a wad of bubble gum wearing a tutu, riding a starfish.

Very cool flower. Good for you! I know how these need careful watering, you must love it a lot to treat it so bad. I treated mine well (It looked thirsty, really, it did!) and it died.

I like that one. Only one of my duvalias have bloomed. They seem to be more difficult to get to bloom then their cousins or maybe it's just me?

Great flower, Zech. Looks like a wad of bubble gum wearing a tutu, riding a starfish

Best description yet, I think.

Thanks guys :D
And i do agree, that is the funniest description ive ever heard for a plant :P
Its not my plant, but my sisters plant. But from what she does, it seems pretty easy to care for. She gives it afternoon sun ( i think it can take more) and waters whenever it starts to feel squishy.
Nearly all of mine, and my sister asclepiads are putting out buds, so be expecting more later ;)

Gotta say I thought the same about the description Hanz, pretty funny & quite apt.

Don't think I've seen this bloom or plant before. Nice going there Micro, congratulations.
