potting soil going bad in ground???

beaniebeagleAugust 24, 2011

my three clematis came with a note that states that if i pot up with potting soil and then place them in the ground this fall, that the potting soil can go bad and cause problems.

Has anyone have this happen to them?

Low quality potting soil can compact over time and decrease drainage and cause rot.

Not that fast though.
