Cuttings at this time of year?

garystpaul(4)September 7, 2008

Hi, folks

I've had pretty good luck with clem cuttings in late spring and summer. Anyone have experience with them at this time of year? I use a propagation box with gentle bottom heat under fluorescent lights in my basement. Thanks in advance. GaryStPaul

Hi Gary, at this time of year I do layerings of the clems. When new growth appears in the spring on the individual layers then I disconnect from the mother plant and pot them up. I had much higher success rate with this than I did with my cuttings.
