spruce,

Everything very nice and to be proud of.

Looks like you have already done the Spring clean up.

Me and the wife have been working on mine for the past week. Another two day should do it.

Richard your gardens are beautiful! You put things together that really compliment each other, and I love your Heathers in there. I found myself going back through the photos several times to make sure I didn't miss anything. Would love to see this in Spring, Summer and Fall.

Sprucebud, you'made a lot of progress. Lookin' good!

chohio, there are Heathers in the garden, but it's Heaths that are blooming. Heathers are Caluna and Heaths are Erica.
Looks like Erica carnea, 'Springwood' is the white one. The other one may be 'Springwood Pink'.

Looking good! I like the 'Inversa'.

What are the plans for the trench?

Very nice, Richard. Is that 'Loreley' starting to stay upright on its own?

Great stuff Richard. It's always refreshing to see gardens with plants we never see over here. A nice mix of colors and conifers, not too unlike my own tastes. Don't you have a bunch of great Abies procera buns?

And what is the Pinus parviflora on standard?

Thanks for sharing!

outstanding start for your Spring, Richard. Add some mulch and you're ready for prime time.

I've never seen Picea breweriana 'Inversa' before. How did you come across that little beauty? Happy to have something new on my "try to find" list.

You have some diamonds Richard, thanks.

I'm going to say the standard is an Abies, probably lasiocarpa - the bark looks like a fir. I like it and am also interested to know what it is. I'm too curious about the trenches and their functionality?

Thank you for your appreciation and enthusiasm.
The leader on the 'Loreley' is certainly upright but does need some support as it seems to give quite a lot in the wind.
I have a spruce on a standard: picea pungens 'Super Maixner' (photo 7).
The picea breweriana 'Inversa' I bought from Kohout nursery in Germany and has been in the ground now for over a year. Seems to have settled well.
The trenches are actually a woodchip path (!) - admittedly, they are fairly narrow but perhaps this is enhanced on the photos.

Richard, great pics. Refreshing to see other folk's plants.

Hopefully you can keep them coming! Even in the 'Bruns' pic I can see quite a few nice specimens.

Great pics Richard, I see that your spruces are doing very well!
I didn't know that you renamed yourself into "Spacebud" but it sounds great to me ;0)
