Irish Moss - Help

JimKY(6)July 26, 2014

I have Irish Moss planted between stepping stones. Most is very healthy except for this one spot. I don't think any chemicals were dropped on it. It gets the same light and water as all other moss plants that are healthy. Anybody know the cause or cure? Thanks

I looks like there's some charcoal there? I can't tell. There may have been a small fire there.
