I had thought it was probably Anomodon attenuatus. It looks quite different from same species when dry, but I am now sure that is what it is.

Is that second picture of the same sample? I was thinking it might be A. viticulosus but not if that is what it looks like dry.

You may be correct about it not being attenuatus. I think it probably is a differnet specimen and it does look like A. viticulosus after all.
