mushroom ID, and terrarium weed ID?

rredbbeard(SE CT USA/zone 6)August 13, 2014

The pictured mushrooms grew at the base of my compost container. Can anyone positively identify these? The surface of the caps is shaggy. Don't worry, I'm not going to eat it! It looks a lot like one of the more poisonous varieties, possibly amanita?

The fern (?) grew in a sealed container where I started sinningias from seed, (see picture in the following post on this string.) The container had been cleaned, and the medium, which had some sphagnum in it, had all been pasteurized before use, so I'm surprised any green plant survived the treatment. Looks like a fern, but I'm no expert!

Any ideas?
