Show quality maidenhair

boydsagardenerOctober 12, 2007

Our local garden council scheduled a flower show 10/27. I have a maidenhair fern that I'd like to enter. What other characteristics would be necessary other than a well-rounded fern in the pot, same color over-all, etc?

Thanks for any advice.

Well, the show must be over. Did you enter the fern? Did you find an answer?

I didn't enter the fern. The pot had a few small stains on it I couldn't remove. I should have entered it anyway as the stains didn't detract from the overall presentation.
:-(
It probably would have won a blue ribbon and that's my goal. I'm a flower show judge and a goal of any flower show is to educate the public.
And no, I didn't get an answer.
