dahlias shoots in pot stopped growing
I am in the San Diego area and a couple months ago I planted dahlia tubers and lily bulbs in a large planter. I watered initially when I planted the bulbs but did not water again until the lily bulbs came up and then shortly after the dahlia shoots poked through. One dahlia bunch is growing normally but the other bunch, which actually was the first bunch to sprout, has either stopped growing or slowed way down. It looks healthy it just is not budging. It is about two inches off the ground while the other bunch is about 4 inches off the ground.
I'm scared to water the pot as the container is still moist an inch below the surface plus as the lily bulbs are really deep, I don't want to overwater. Should I wait and see? Thanks.
