Wynn's Farmer John

suzegarden(z5mo)April 12, 2013

Does anyone know where I might still be able to buy a Wynn's Farmer John tuber? I bought one last year, and it never eyed up. Forgot about it until seeing a picture of it, now, of course, have to have it. Have checked multiple suppliers, and so far, they are all sold out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

I don't know what your feelings are about Michigan Bulb but I see they still have this one listed for $7.99. I have friends who steer clear of this company. I've never bought dahlias from them but don't have too many complaints about other things I've bought from there. Many companies like this sell clumps rather than individual tubers. Good luck if you decide to buy. unc

Thanks for the response. Almost ordered one from Michigan Bulb, but after the shipping was added, I decided I didn't need one that bad!

Have you tried a local dahlia organization tuber sale/auction? They're going on every weekend across the country through May.

My club had three Farmer Johns go for $4 apiece today during our first auction... Perhaps you can get one that way.

Here is a link that might be useful: Dahlia Club Sales by state
