Nate, thanks for these wonderful pics.
You're right, it's Picea pungens 'Mrs. Cesarini' instead of 'Mrs. Cessarini'.

The Pinus parviflora 'Blue Wave' isn't that blue.
I guess it is feeling blue...

I never came across Picea glauca 'Boring'.
It looks like one of those Picea glauca var. albertiana 'Conica' witches' brooms.
Then for this one the true name is Picea glauca var. albertiana 'Boring'.

You get a chance to check out the baker cypress when you were there? It doesn't look good because it's in a shady, swampy area, growing about 200 yds away from a Taxodium which is thriving. Bad choice for it's placement but they've got about 6 new young ones that they should be planting out soon...

I've enjoyed all three of your Morton Arboretum tours, Nate. Thank you for taking the time to share all of these great photos with us!

I see that coniferjoy already mentioned something about the colour, but is that specimen of Pinus parviflora 'Blue Wave' atypical of the cultivar? It certainly looks rather pale green/yellow to me.

my blue wave.. is definitely blue ...

pungens procumbens.. besides the fact that it rhymes .... is there any significant difference between it and p. gluaca pendula ... both seem to grow on the ground ...

thx for the pix

the boring.. reminds me of conica 'baby' ... and two other unnamed seedlings..

Great photos Nate, I am really enjoying your tours.

It is nice to see a mature plant of Thuja occidentalis 'Linesville' as I have some cuttings rooting and do not remember seeing a large plant.

Thanks for taking the time to post all these wonderful photos.

Thanks Edwin, Dave, Cher, Holly, and Ladylotus!

Ken, I have a procumbens and a glauca pendula. My casual observation is that pendula shoots are longer.

Shastensis, I did not see the Baker cypress there, maybe next time. The Baker I have are still doing well.

Some more from the arb.
