My Dahlia is in a shady spot. Should I move it or not?

Hi, guys.

Aroung 50 days ago I planted my Giant Dahlia tuber in a place that (as I later found out) received no direct sunlight at all. So, when it was just a few inches tall, I transplanted it somewhere I though it'd get enough sunlight.

It so happens that our house's wall it extremely high (over 9 ft) and my poor Dahlia is getting less than 30 minutes of full sun a day!

The plant is almost 2 months old and less than a foot tall, even though it has 4 sets of leaves...

Now, should I try to move it again? I don't want to loose it, since it's extremely hard to find dahlia tubers here!

Where are you Giovana? I'm just curious.

You can move it easily to a more full sun location, especially that small. Just get your new location ready and watered, dig up the dahlia allowing for enough soil around the tuber and roots, and carry it on over, water it in. Best done in the evening, I'd think, so it can rest overnight before taking on the blazing sun the next day.
