I Wish I'd Never Seen This Book

karyn1(7a)December 14, 2012

A friend gave me a book for the holiday, Pachyforms: A Guide to Growing Pachycaul and Caudiciform Plants. I've only flipped thru the pics so far but what amazing specimens! I wanted just about everything I saw. There were some that I didn't realize developed caudices like Aristolochia gigantea.

Your so mean Tom! ;-)

I love anything with a caudex! I have a Desert Rose, and everyday I ask her to please fatten up quicker! LOL!

I also love old tree's with huge roots above ground.. so learning the art of Bonsai is in my future too. :-)

Good luck. ;-)

I have about a dozen varieties but all except some of my adeniums are still pretty small. I hope they will one day look like the pics in that book. My problem is that after seeing some of the photos I will begin an obsessive search for more varieties. My kids don't need the money we've put aside for college, do they? lol
