Four years of Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Fletcherii'

firefightergardener(7/8)May 31, 2012

A great option for a soft, blue-green shrub. I've seen old specimens in photos about five feet tall and three feet wide - probably at 25-30 years old. My specimen, as you can see below, seems to grow about two inches(5 cm) a year. Also note this is probably a coastal variety, both with the heavier/fuller needles and happy/healthy state in our wet Pacific Northwest climate.

Very nice, I've been playing 'see which specimens disappear and spring up in the background'.

Really nice. I can't believe how much it grew between 2010 and 2011.
