I bougt a potted Lime tree last summer which was labeled only lime.
It has a dozen or so limes golf ball size which are starting to turn yellow. Is this really a lime tree and will they turn back green or do I have something else?
What you probably have is a key lime also known as a Mexican lime. It is normal for them to turn yellow as they ripen. Another possibility is that it is a lime kumquat hybrid called a limequat.
sounds right abekhoury
Try pinching a leaf. If it smells like lime, it's lime.
Sounds like time to start picking those limes and enjoying the fruit of your growing labors!
Strawboss, sounds like it's time for a gin and tonic with a squeeze of Key lime.
Well I picked one and tried it. It's definately gin and tonic time!
sounds like key lime
have one here
a lot of growers pick them green
but they are actually ripe when yellow
