Would anyone out there happen to have tried to grow tobacco?
If so would have any spare seed, and any advise on growing would also be appreciated.
Nicotina species are easy from seed and the seed remains viable for very long periods of time. Sow the seed on the surface and make sure to give the germinating seeds and seedlings lots of light. Transplant to individual pots as soon as the seedlings have developed their first true leaves for best growth.
I have Nicotina rustica, Nicotina langsdorfii and Nicotina sylvestris seeds. Nicotina rustica is the sacred tobacco and is not as ornamental as the other species. Nicotina alata is easy to find in most nurseries in a range of colours.
