HAVE: many plants need rescue due to pending development

phippsjesterJuly 8, 2006

A large area of the property where I live is overgrown with Florida natives such as the rouge berry plant (Rivina humilis), the beach sunflower (Helianthus debilis), the wild poinsettia (Euphorbia cyathophora), the common wireweed (Sida acuta), and lots of other ground covering and flowering things that I've been unable to name. The owner is going to develop the property and everything that is not removed will be bulldozed. On the beach in South Palm Beach County, Florida.

The developer must secure a permit if there are any endangered or protected species on the property. You can check with your local office for further information. (see link)
