I am looking for fresh seeds of the Texas Madrone, Arbutus xalapensis. any one have any?
I have a madrone tree and love it. I have never observed seed formation. I planted the cutting around 12 years ago and it grows so slowly. Perhaps the seed formation requires more time. I know that cuttings are very difficult and I was fortunate to receive one from the high school propagation project of 15 years ago.
I know that this thread is old. I just looked on my Madrone and it does have two clusters of berries on it, right now. They are very red and very fleshy. You are welcomed to them. I live in an are with MANY madrones. I can collect more .
