Daffs bloom along daylily rows

newyorkrita(z6b/7a LI NY)April 21, 2012

There is a garden section in my backyard with a row of Serviceberry shrubs that defines the end of it. I have daffs directly in front of those seriviceberries and daylilies in front of everything. In fact I have lots of my Dale Thomas late blooming intros here. But in the spring it looks nice with the daffs blooming.

I had daffs there, old fashioned yellow ones that finshed blooming already. Then last fall I put two rows of COPPER QUEEN daffs in front of the old daff row. COPPER QUEEN is blooming now.

What a nice idea! Serial blooms along the rows until the lead stars make their appearance. those are very pretty bright ones, Rita.

I have been working on that back garden area off by those serviceberries for a few years now. Last fall I added more late blooming daylilies in there so this year bloom season should be even better than before.

No, no lilies up there in that garden section. Just daffs and daylilies. Daylilies are growing really good here now.
