Hemerocallis seedlings (photo taken the other day)
OMG! How old are your daylily seedlings?? They're sooo cute! How long did they take to come up? I've still got my seeds in the fridge thinking that I wouldn't start them until February. After seeing yours, now I'm not sure I can wait that long!
As for the hydrangea, I think it'll be going into it's fifth summer. It's not huge by any means, only about 2.5 feet tall and wide, but I do like the flowers. Unfortunatly so do the grasshoppers, and most years they've eaten them before they got to open up :(
Laurie those seedlings are about 10 days old, I still have some that haven't germinated.
I have 11 different mixes and they all seem to be germinating at different times, there is one variety that only took 5 days. Most likely they will probably not bloom this year, but I can't wait to see what they'll look like the following year.
Oooh cute seedlings Sharon! I can't wait to see what they look like either. BTW, you missed an "H" - the Herons at your pond!
I just have:
Harison's Yellow (now someone else's Harison's Yellow, knot forms in stomach, sob)
I did happy returns and canadian border patrol day lilies from seed last year..amazingly easy, makes you wonder why the hybridizers charge so much for new intros:-O..Gil i would have separation anxiety leaving my roses behind too!
some of my "H"s
Holly Hock - annual summer carnival
Hunting Song glad
Henry Kelsey rose
Hemerocallis "Winniford"..it is a mini day lily..I dont think it would even measure 1.5 inches across
Hemerocallis - "Summerwine"
Hemerocallis "Sammy Russell"
Hemerocallis- forgot the name of this one, it is a tetraploid
Hemerocallis "Stella D'oro"
Wow Sharon, they look fairly big for only 10 days. I hope I have as much luck with mine! It'll be really exciting to see what the flowers will look like next summer. What fun that'll be!
Gill, I hope you've got another Harison's Yellow on your shopping list for this spring?
