Here's something cool to fixate on! Wish we could do more.
We have had 3.5" of snow since then.
Dave, we need a winter wonderland tour of all your islands! They have a very special winter beauty!
Nice, is that 'Gold Coin' or similar cultivar?
I actually enjoyed this past winter more so than June and July!
Nice, or I should say, cool pictures. I especially love the image of the golden pine!
Here is a link that might be useful: Sentinels of the Arctic
Very cool pics, everyone! That golden pine is my Pinus contorta 'Chief Joseph', taken a few years ago.
Wow, how big is it now?
It's over 3 feet... that would be 1 meter in King's English, I think! Unfortunately, it's quite sick these days. We had an especially wet winter 2 years ago and it lost every needle, but new growth came just fine. I decided to move it the following winter, and now it is barely hanging on. The parent tree grows in a hotter, drier climate than soggy Seattle. I think it can be a finicky little guy!
Amazing when you think this...
...turns into this.
Very nice, tj! That is a really beautiful hosta. And no slug holes! Do you know what slugs are? (just kidding)
We live in slug heaven...
Ahhhh... Wonderful snow pics! We certainly are NOT in a drought here, but we rarely get that kind of snow. Love your 'Chief Joseph' shot in all that snow and gorgeous light!
